5-piece Norwegian R&B group The band called Oh has unveiled upcoming album Guerrilla Gardening, the world's first-ever open-source album. TBCO's 22-track release has slowly seeped through the cracks week by week, gaining more traction as more songs are released. Since August 19, two new songs have been released weekly-one on Tuesday, the other on Friday, in order of Guerrilla Gardening's track listing to culminate in the album's full release on November 3rd. But what does "the world's first open-source album" mean? The band called Oh launched Guerrilla Gardening landing page www.thisis.gg when it announced the album in August; here, visitors can download seeds for the album's songs as they're released. Listeners are encouraged to dive into each song, tear it apart, mix it up, and return their work to the band via the website. It's an obvious yet previously unexplored way to engage fans; The band called Oh very deliberately chose this open-source rollout to unite a community of all sorts of people. In particular, its release plan is a response to Norway's slow bend towards dangerous right-wing governance.
Composed of members Eirik Fjelde, Frode Larsen, Arnljot Nordvik, Morten Steene & Jonas Karlsen, The band called Oh has rocked Norway and beyond with their R&B/Soul music stylings.
