Half way between Houston and Victoria Texas sits a town with a population around 11,600. In this city sits a young man with hopes and aspirations of sharing the songs he composes with the world. His name is JOÉL Hernandez. JOÉL, having shown an aptitude for music and songwriting capabilities at a very early age gained the immediate backing of his entire family. This led to JOÉL meeting up with west coast Grammy nominated songwriter, producer, musician Rodney Alejandro of SweetSpot Entertainment. Rodney was deeply impressed and moved to connect the up and coming JOÉL with the much sought after professional musicians Ben Sargeant, Ian O'Neill, and Michael "Nomad" Ripoll. They banded together and Rodney produced JOÉL's March 2018 release "Seasons Change".
The new release reveals JOÉL's innate abilities, the very ones that his family and friends observed in his youth as it delivers an eclectic twelve track ear pleasing collection of satisfying selections. Track five (It's Only You) comes in at four minutes and twenty seven seconds featuring an upbeat tempo which is augmented by a flowing pop sound while JOÉL's incredibly gifted falsetto voice delivers the crowning jewel. Track twelve (Can't Get Thru') is an Eric Clapton meets Sting meets John Mayer type song about an obsessed lover trying to get closer to his heart's desire. JOÉL's mysterious vocal delivery of the story line is marvelous and the song is capped off by an impressive lead guitar solo.Videos
