Boston's Terence Ryan is set to release his debut album Don't Panic June 23rd on 3QTR (The Internet, Steve Lacy) via Kobalt Music Recordings. Today, he drops new single "Nothing" - available now on all digital retailers. Fusing elements of folk, soul, and indie-rock with big 808 drums, Terence comments: "This is probably one of the most direct songs on Don't Panic. The vocals were recorded on the side of Highway 5 in my Honda Accord while I was living in it - microphone hanging from the rear view mirror."
Don't Panic is a ten track collection that explores the modern struggle to achieve something a little better than what we have. Like so many kids growing up in the working class that America has left behind, Terence is seeking more. What was once a linear path from hard work to upper middle class is now a meandering labyrinth of opiate abuse, government deception, and seasonal depression. Terence wants more for his family, his peers, his community, and the world. His music captures this personal journey in a way that can resonate with people everywhere who feel disenfranchised.
Terence previously shared album tracks "Mean It" and "To Live And Die In New England" which charted on Spotify's US Viral Chart and saw him garner over 1.5 million streams across platforms. He has since earned radio play at KCRW and received praise from the likes of The Boston Globe, WBUR's All Things Considered , and more.
