Jaime Lyn Beatty of Team Starkid will be releasing her debut EP Dolphin Safe Tunes on Tuesday September 24th, 2013!

Raised in New York City, Beatty received her BFA in Acting from the University of Michigan and is an original member of Team Starkid, the creative team behind the YouTube sensation "A Very Potter Musical". In the past three years, Starkid's six original musicals have garnered over 150 million views on YouTube and a devoted international fan­base of over 344,000 subscribers. In 2011 and 2012, Beatty toured the country with Starkid, headlining shows at Live Nation venues culminating in a sold­out concert at New York City's world famous Roseland Ballroom. On September 24th, Beatty will release her first solo EP, giving fans a new and exclusive look at her musical talent.

Dolphin Safe Tunes is a collection of original songs Beatty has been working on over the past two years. Developed in conjunction with Michael Malarkey (Second City music director and DePaul alum), Dolphin Safe Tunes consists of 5 original songs inspired by the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Belle & Sebastian, Eartha Kitt, and Kenny Loggins.

As a graduate of New York City's famed LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and the Performing Arts, Beatty understands the importance of students in the public school system having access to music and arts education. In an effort to support arts education in Chicago Public Schools, the EP's final track, Believe, features teens from the CPS Advanced Arts Education Vocal Program in association with the non­for profit organization, After School Matters.

On Sunday September 22nd from 6­-7pm, a pre-­release show for the EP is scheduled to take place at The Holiday Club in Chicago, IL.

Admission is FREE and the show is open to people of ALL ages.
