Today pop singer-songwriter Taylor Colson released her debut single, "Blame It On My Body," (Spotify - YouTube). The smoldering track, co-written and produced by The Gifted (Tayler Buono, R.Lum.R), is an impressive debut for the artist best known for her gorgeous YouTube covers, including some, like her cover of Nick Jonas and Tove Lo's "Close," which have drawn raves from the artists themselves.

As explained best by Paste Magazine, Colson is, "widely recognized for her impeccable vocal abilities and uncanny talent to re-craft current Top 40 hits into her own renditions. By mixing urban and mainstream pop, the singer/songwriter has created a genre-bending sound of her own."
"I wrote this song at the very beginning of my first real relationship," explained Colson. "What was happening was so new that I couldn't find the right words to explain to this person how I was feeling inside. As it turns out, I didn't need to say anything - it was written all over my body." (Lyrics below)
"Blame It On My Body" is the first release from Colson's upcoming debut EP, expected next year. This year, as Colson has continued to develop her own live show, she's opened for other buzzworthy artists, including blackbear and KYLE.
