Tammy Hyler Forms Smashville Entertainment, Signs Alexis Ebert To Management Image

Award-winning songwriter and sought-after film and television producer, Tammy Hyler, has announced the formation of Smashville Entertainment. Hyler opens the doors to her Nashville-based music management and publishing company (located in The Gulch) as official with the ambition to lend assistance and directive to young songwriter and artist hopefuls to nurture, grow and develop long-lasting, sustainable careers.

As owner and CEO of the newly-formed Smashville Entertainment, Hyler will be hands-on to oversee day-to-day operations as well as lend her experience and expertise in the fields of artist development, songwriting, licensing, branding, television and film placement, touring and commerce. Instrumental in the signing and management of songwriters and artists, she is also seated as a staff songwriter and producer under the company's publishing division. As first course of business, Hyler signed Alexis Ebert under the management umbrella as Smashville Entertainment's flagship songwriter/recording artist.

"I wanted to form a company that offers 'all-encompassing' services (music management, publishing, production, and TV and film development)-services that will enable the aspiring artist various avenues to build a sustainable, successful career as a songwriter/recording artist in the recording and music entertainment industry," said Tammy Hyler, Owner and CEO, Smashville Entertainment. "I've enjoyed so many blessings in this business; my motivation is to share what I've learned in developing young artists, creating music for radio, film and television, and producing films here in Nashville, to help open the door to opportunities for those with dreams to become viable contributors in the creative sector."

Hyler, whose career highlights include a long list of songwriter credits (with recordings by George Strait, Shania Twain, Martina McBride and many others), began working alongside the young, up and coming singer/songwriter upon Ebert's relocation to Nashville in 2007. Hyler co-wrote various songs with Alexis that appeared on the 14 year old's debut Warner Bros. recording project. Alexis was later cast in the film "Like A Country Song" produced by Hyler.

"Alexis and I have devoted our time and concentration over the last several years to establish her roots in the Nashville songwriting community. Alexis utilized her time for self-exploration and as an education to hone her skills. She's an extraordinary talent with a solid foothold in the songwriting field. She knows exactly who she is as a songwriter, as an artist and as an entertainer. She's not simply walking off the stage of a reality television talent competition; she has earned respect and recognition from her peers because of her work ethic. Our next step is to align Alexis with a publishing company, producer and label that share her vision-not to reinvent her, but to allow her to grow in her own shoes and make her own footprint as a hit writer and stadium entertainer," Hyler added.

Young Alexis Ebert had shared the stage with Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Sugarland, Trace Adkins, Tayna Tucker and many more before she was a teenager. She captured the attention of Tom Whalley, President, Warner Bros. Records-Los Angeles and VP, Jeff Aldrich who made introductions to Warner Bros.-Nashville VP, Paul Worley in 2005. The introductions led the twelve-year-old to ink a record deal with Warner Bros Records-Nashville; she secured a major publishing deal and recorded an album with the multi-GRAMMY® award-winning producer, Worley, and Kyle Lehning. At the turn of 14, Alexis secured a track in the hit Disney movie "Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen" (Lindsay Lohan); the soundtrack sold more than 650,000 copies. Alexis later signed on as a staff writer at SONY ATV. In 2014, Alexis landed a supporting roll in the film, "Like A Country Song;" four "Alexis Ebert" songs were placed on the soundtrack. Alexis signed a management deal with Smashville Entertainment just last week. Hyler is in early conversations with notable music publishing companies to position Alexis as a signed writer.

TAMMY HYLER CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Hyler launched her career in the film and television industry at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in LA. She worked under the direction of three of Hollywood's biggest moguls: Michael Ovitz, Ron Meyer and Jeffrey Katzenburg, head of Disney Studios/Touchstone Pictures and a famed founder of DreamWorks. During her 13-year-tenure with the globally-renowned agency, Hyler spent her evening hours honing in on her performing talents. She and her band played at The Palomino, The Central (now The Viper Room), The Troubadour as well as The Roxbury and Marix on Sunset. Celebrities such as Sylvester Stallone, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Demi Moore, Sting and many others were among those in the audience.

In 1993, Hyler made the move to Nashville; her songwriting talents were quickly tapped by a number of country music heavyweights. George Strait, Shania Twain, Pam Tillis, Clay Walker, Julio Iglesias, Jr. and Journey all recorded "Hyler" originals. She scored No. 1 hits with recordings by Collin Raye ("I Can Still Feel You") and Martina McBride ("I Love You").

Hyler was signed as a staff writer with the world's largest publishing company, Sony ATV, as well as independent publishers Little Big Town, Godfather Rich Muzik (owned John Rich) and Skyline Music (owned by Paul Worley who produced the Dixie Chicks, Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride and many more).

Her song placement credits rank in the hundreds in television and major motion pictures including "Runaway Bride," "Desperate Housewives," "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" and the Renee' Zellweger/Harry Connick, Jr. film, "New in Town."

Hyler produced her first motion picture film, "Like A Country Song" (2014), starring country-recording artist/actor Billy Ray Cyrus ("Achy Breaky Heart"/ "Hannah Montana"/"Still The King"), Joel Smallbone (lead singer of the Christian rock band King & Country) and Boo Boo Stewart ("The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" Part I and Part II/"X-Men: Days Of Future Past"). She co-wrote and co-produced nine tracks in the film and spearheaded the production of the movie soundtrack. Hyler was also associate producer of the holiday film "Evergreen Christmas" (starring Robert Loggia, Naomi Judd and Greer Grammer). She lent her talents to assist in producing "I'm Not Ashamed," the true story of Rachel Joy Scott who was the first victim of the 1999 Columbine High School shootings (PureFlix/September 2016). Hyler also makes an appearance in the movie.

In 2016, Hyler co-produced and scored "Lost In America", a documentary spotlighting the rise in teen homelessness in America. The project (set for a late 2018 release) garnered support from megastars Jon Bon Jovi, Miley Cyrus, Russell Simmons, Jewel, Halle Berry and Rosario Dawson.

Over the course of her career, Hyler's talents as a songcrafter have lent assistance to amass earnings of more than $13 Million for her co-writers and music publishers. She is the recipient of multiple awards from various notable music industry affiliations including ASCAP, NSAI and DOVE.
