Young Money Cash Money platinum recording artist TYGA will release his third full length album Hotel Californiaon March 26th via Young Money Cash Money.
The first single "Dope" featuring Rick Ross is the #1 Most Added Single at Crossover & #3 Urban Radio. "Dope" was produced by FKi (Travis Porter, Ludacris), showcases Tyga's hard charging, rapid fire, boastful rap over a tightly wound beat and a smattering of 808s, snaps and handclaps.
Recorded over the past several months, Hotel California has an introspective feel, with Tyga reflecting upon on the changes he has experienced since signing to the YMCMB family and finding commercial and critical success. "This album is very personal. It's about my experience of being at a hotel and suddenly realizing how far I've come in my career. It's also my desire to feel at home these days, since due to my success I mainly live life on the road. The only home I ever knew was California, so this album is about those dual feelings," says Tyga.
"Tyga has always been driven. He has given his all to this album and fans are going to be impressed with his vision and storytelling," says Cash Money Records co-CEO Bryan 'Birdman' Williams. Adds Ronald 'Slim' Williams, "Tyga is a star and this may be his best offering yet."
Hotel California will feature production by a diverse roster of producers including DJ Mustard (2 Chainz, Meek Mill), Cool & Dre, Jess Jackson (Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj), David DA Doman (Kidz in the Hall, Ghostface Killah), and The Olympicks (Birdman, Lil Wayne).
Hotel California is the anticipated follow up to Tyga's debut album, Careless World, which spawned the ubiquitous mega-hit "Rack City." The infectious, club banger peaked at #3 at both Crossover & Urban Radio and the single was proclaimed as the "best song on the radio" by venerable music publication SPIN.
