TOKiMONSTA (nee Jennifer Lee) is a Los Angeles born, classically trained musician. She took her skills and combined them with a love and thirst for listening to all kinds of genres and sounds to become the beat maker she is today.
Fusing vintage sounds with the newer progressive styles, TOKiMONSTA has been able to create a sound that is uniquely her own. Her music has already been creating waves, and she has been featured in such prominent magazines as DJ Mag, SPIN and Rolling Stone. In 2010, LA Weekly voted her the year's #1 female DJ in Los Angeles. As a vigorously touring artist, she already has an impressive amount of prestigious festivals/tours under her belt, including Coachella, Electric Zoo and SXSW. Notable names in today's hip-hop and EDM scenes have already become massive supporters, including the prince of dubstep, Skrillex. Her performance is engaging yet intricate as she uses different technology and instruments combined with multimedia gear. She is a force to be reckoned with-and her new album HALF SHADOWS will be sure to hook you in, no matter what type of genre you enjoy.
