Dante Jones and Drew Love - better known as THEY. - return with a new track from their forthcoming Nü Religion: HYENA debut. "What You Want" premiered on BBC Radio's MistaJam's "Inbox Fresh" on Wednesday November 9th.
Citing Nirvana, Taking Back Sunday,
John Mayer and Jodeci as influences, THEY. have released two other tracks - "Say When" and "Deep End" -as a glimpse into the full-length album that is rife with "hip-hop and R&B style, girded by rock sensibilities" (Noisey). Nü Religion: HYENA arrives in February of 2017 via Mind of a Genius and Warner Bros. Records.
Following their performance on the Pigeons & Planes stage at the inaugural ComplexCon last weekend, THEY. will join PARTYNEXTDOOR and
Jeremih on their "Summer's Over" tour. Dates are below.
After award-winning production and songwriting work with other artists, THEY. were introduced by a mutual friend and immediately clicked on their eclectic tastes. Six months later, the now Los Angeles-based duo started to meld their diverse musical background to create their "grunge'n'b" sound. Following their hit collaboration with
Skrillex and Mind of a Genius friend and labelmate ZHU "Working For It," THEY. dropped their acclaimed 3-track Nü Religion EP which has racked in tens of millions of streams on Soundcloud and Spotify. The EP would lead to an opening slot on Bryson Tiller's worldwide T R A P S O U L tour.
