The Wizards of Winter: A Trans Siberian Orchestra Experience, one of the most popular holiday shows, returns to The Ridgefield Playhouse tonight, December 9, at 8 p.m.

Featuring Original Trans Siberian Orchestra members Tommy Farese, Guy LeMonnier, Michael Lanning and Tony Gaynor, The Wizards of Winter take the theatrical holiday rock experience to a more intimate setting at the Playhouse as part of the Pepsi Rock Series Powered by Xfinity. They return, after 2 sold out performances in 2014, with a brand new show featuring original music from their new album and a bigger stage show. The Wizards will also perform some of TSO's greatest hits. Their unique style of musical intensity, soaring vocal harmonies and stage theatrics layered around a rich storyboard make for a dazzling holiday spectacle you won't want to miss!

Make no mistake: The Wizards of Winter is not a Trans Siberian Orchestra tribute group, and they do not perform a whole evening of their music but do perform some of their greatest hits as part of an original holiday rock opera. The Wizards of Winter is an eclectic group of musicians from the Metro NY, NJ, PA region whose strong Classical and Progressive Rock influences are woven throughout their musical careers. One clear vision of faithfully reproducing the music of the Trans-Siberia Orchestras brought this group of talented performers together in 2010. Their 2015 show will bring some exciting new original material.

Before the show, visit Piccolo Pizza (24 Prospect Street, Ridgefield) for dinner and enjoy a complimentary glass of house wine with your dinner when tickets are presented.

For tickets ($45), call or visit the box office at The Ridgefield Playhouse, (203) 438-5795. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT; ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
