About Tenille Townes:
Emerging country singer/songwriter, Tenille Townes isn't quite like anyone else who has ever graced Nashville's stages. With the lyrical fortitude of Patty Griffin, the soulful nature of
Chris Stapleton or even Adele and the genre-transcending power of Shaina Twain, Townes is paving a path all her own as one of Nashville's most promising new artists. Townes' music journey started in the vibrant, rich community her rural Canadian hometown, Grande Prairie, Alberta, where she learned to read by studying album liner notes and penned her first song by age 14. For Townes, music has always been her true compass. After driving her Toyota Tacoma the 45-hour journey from Canada to Nashville in 2013 to pursue her music career, Townes quickly immersed herself in the heart of the city's songwriting community. The 24-year-old has since emerged as a dynamic and genre-defying artist for her lyrical wisdom and bluesy, soulful voice; signing to a major Nashville label and Big Yellow Dog Music publishing in 2017. Readied for a breakout 2018, Townes makes her
Sundance Film Festival and SXSW debut this Spring, joins
Devin Dawson on the road for select dates and has been tapped by
Miranda Lambert and
Little Big Town for "The Bandwagon Tour" this summer. Townes is currently recording her debut LP produced by Jay Joyce.
