Newly established Brooklyn-based independent label, Swoon City Music, announces its first artist signing with Blond Ambition, the solo project from Ex Cops' founder Brian Harding, and a worldwide distribution deal with Caroline. The first track from Blond Ambition's upcoming 2017 record was recently premiered on The Fader, in which they state, "We're all pining for the bright, cheerful days of summer in ways we couldn't have imagined even a week ago, and... Blond Ambition's gently funky psych-folk is the ideal match for 8mm footage of surfers, skaters, and sunbathers taking in some coastal beauty."
Founded by music industry and publishing veterans Mike Beck, Maureen Lloren and Ned Sedlak, Swoon City Music was built on the philosophy of "artists first" and a commitment to developing successful careers for their artists in a smart, long-term and meaningful way. A full-service label and music publishing company, Swoon City Music is located in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn and is also home to Refuge Recording - a one stop audio production studio. The founders state, "We are very excited to launch our label with an artist like Blond Ambition, who has an amazing vision for himself and his music. With our combined skills and experience in the independent music sector, as well as music producers and musicians ourselves, we are primed to help develop the careers of the best independent artists today." Swoon City Music has signed a worldwide distribution deal with Caroline. Piero Giramonti, GM of Caroline said, "We are very pleased to welcome Swoon City Music to Caroline. As they now set forth, with years of experience in the independent music community, we look forward to providing them an effective artist development partnership for their new label venture -- through Swoon City's launch and for a long time to come."Videos
