MotorCity Casino Hotel has announced Sublime with Rome live in concert at Sound Board on Saturday, July 12 at 8:00 p.m.
After front man Bradley Nowell's death brought an end to the group Sublime, surviving members Eric Wilson (bass) and Bud Gaugh (drums) formed the Long Beach Dub All-Stars before returning to a revised lineup named Sublime with Rome. "Rome" is Rome Ramirez, a singer/guitarist with whom the band first played some gigs in 2009 as Sublime. They became Sublime with Rome a year later and launched a cross-country tour of America.
In 2011, the label Fueled By Raman released the group's first album, Yours Truly with guitarist Paul Leary of the Butthole Surfers who also produced Sublime's third and final album. They brought Sublime's material back on tour in 2010 to the delight of fans across the nation who were eager to once again hear the band's repertoire live on stage. The new album yielded the hit singles "Panic" (which climbed to No. 4 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart), "Lovers Rock" and "Take It or Leave It". Yours Truly garnered new fans eager to grab Sublime with Rome concert tickets in order to experience the new material, as well as to witness them perform the classic Sublime tunes that made the band one of the most successful and influential alternative music acts in history.
