STRONG by Zumba® continues to make waves in the music industry through its latest partnership with Steve Aoki.

The Aoki partnership represents the next-step in the evolution of STRONG by Zumba®'s relationship with the music industry and further solidifies the global-fitness brand's position as a music-industry power-player.

Both Timbaland and Aoki were attracted to working with STRONG by Zumba® because of how the brand is revolutionizing high-intensity workouts through music. Traditionally, workout routines are built around existing songs. STRONG by Zumba® turns that on its head by reverse engineering songs to match every move, pushing participants way past perceived limits. "It's almost a new genre in music," said Timbaland. "Music with fitness is going to get so competitive, that it's going to be like a new record store, a new iTunes."

STRONG by Zumba® is not Zumba! It is a non-dance, music-led, high-intensity group exercise class that combines bodyweight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves. Group exercise and body weight training are #2 and #3 on the top 5 list of fitness trends of 2017 according to The American College of Sports Medicine.

How is the music created? The STRONG by Zumba® routines are created first and then music is reverse-engineered to match every move perfectly, for a unique workout experience that pushes people past their perceived limits. This new concept which emphasizes music as the main motivator allows participants to burn more calories while toning abs, legs, arms, and glutes.

"Aoki's innovative sounds, personality and creative energy match perfectly with STRONG by Zumba," said Zumba CEO, Alberto Perlman. Aoki developed the beats for "Champion" exclusively for STRONG by Zumba® and its network of licensed trainers. "It's the first time I've seen a fitness brand reverse engineer music by scoring the beats around the routines," said Steve Aoki. "I'm excited to join them in hacking motivation through music."

As part of the partnership, Steve Aoki is issuing a challenge to his more than 13M followers to tape themselves doing a STRONG by Zumba® workout sequence to "Champion" and then sharing it on social media with the hashtag #SBZAoki.

Fans who upload a 1-minute video of themselves doing a workout sequence to "Champion" will have a chance to be featured on Steve, Zumba® and STRONG by Zumba®'s social channels, reaching an audience in excess of 15 million, as well as win branded apparel and various secondary prizes. One grand prize-winner will receive 2 tickets to one of Steve's headline concerts (in the continental U.S.), plus round-trip airfare for 2, 2 nights hotel accommodations and a $400 cash stipend.

Up to 10 fans also will win secondary prizes, including apparel from Steve Aoki and STRONG by Zumba® (items may vary by availability). Participants can download a 1-minute segment of the song here: SBZAoki.com
