Performing this Wednesday, July 10, at 12 p.m. on the Northrop Plaza as part of the Northrop Summer Music Festival series is local band Steve Kaul & The Brass Kings. The show is free.
This quintet composed of multi-talented musicians and vocalist Steve Kaul put a new twist on Americana music with their unconventional instruments and arrangements. With a washtub bass and refrigerator parts mixed into the ensemble of stringed instruments, you will not want to miss the group's cool fusion of old-time, middle-eastern, and bluegrass music.
Take a noontime break and experience the chugging harmonics as they fill the Northrop Plaza, with free sandwich samples provided by Jimmy John's while supplies last.
