2x Grammy-nominated DJ/producer Steve Aoki is preparing to hit the road for his 'Kolony' Tour with special guest Desiigner. Set to kick off on February 10th in DC, the tour will hit cities such as Seattle, LA, Austin, Philadelphia, and more.
Today, Aoki announces a series of additional special guests - an eclectic roster of DJs big and small joining the tour, creating a mini-festival of sorts. Joining Desiigner on the large majority of dates will be Grandtheft, whose single "Easy Go (featuring Delaney Jane)" broke the Top 30 on Billboard's Hot Dance / Electronic Songs Chart over 2017 and has since accumulated nearly 17 M on demand streams. Multi-platinum DJ/producersDeorro, W&W and Quintino will join as special guests in select markets, fortifying these stacked bills. Finally, a selection of handpicked of Dim Mak artists including Bad Royale, Bok Nero, Max Styler, Party Pupils, QUIX and Ricky Remedy will round out the lineups, with additional support from Samahta. Grandtheft is a Toronto-based musician and DJ who has released on Mad Decent, Lowly Palace and Dim Mak. Establishing an eclectic, custom club sound by playing largely his own originals and remixes, Grandtheft has slayed clubs worldwide and is respected as one of the best live DJs Canada has to offer.
Deorro is an LA-based American DJ signed to Ultra Records. The young house prodigy has amassed an awe-inspiring discography including a cache of original productions as well as collaborations with the likes of Chuckie, Krewella, MakJ, R3hab, and many more. His releases "Five More Hours" and "Bailar" both went platinum and dominated radio throughout the world. W&W is a Dutch DJ and record producer duo who have specialized in commercial, big-room house and trance. After meeting in 2007, the two quickly gained support from the likes of Tiësto and David Guetta, as well as Armin van Buuren, whose radio show 'A State of Trance' began to regularly feature them the same year. As DJs currently #14 in the DJ Mag Top 100,Willem van Hanegem & Ward van der Harst have released hit after hit, garnering major success and hundreds of millions of streams worldwide. Quintino is a Dutch DJ and record producer who was discovered by house music mastermind Laidback Luke at a young age. Listed in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs four years in a row, his major hits like "Freak" and "I Just Cant" together with fellow Dutchman R3hab, have both surpassed 40 million streams. Additional Support: Bad Royale is a DJ/production trio inspired by the work of Major Lazer. Known for collaborating with Diplo, Skrillex, Steve Aoki and more, Bad Royale have performed at notable dance music festivals such as Ultra, Electric Zoo, Tomorrowland and Life In Color. Bok Nero is a Philadelphia hip-hop artist who rose to prominence under producer Jahlil Beats' wing. His music is a spitfire hybrid of hip-hop, EDM, and trap. Last year his career reached new heights with notable features on Zomboy's Beatport chart-topper "Rotten" and the title track off Aoki's critically acclaimed new album Kolony. Max Styler signed to Dim Mak four years ago when he was only 18 years old, making him one of the youngest producers on the label. Since then, the San Luis Obispo native has performed at some of the largest festivals around the world and has been championed by the likes of Billboard, Buzzfeed and Clash. Insomniac summarized his recent debut LPHeartache as an album that "defies genre classification and puts Styler in a league of select artists who have both mass commercial appeal and significant underground clout." Party Pupils is duo comprised of collaborative vocalist MAX and producer RyanEXOE. Known for their uptempo reworkings of songs like "Pony" and "Ms. Jackson," the group always brings the future funk to the forefront. As a solo artist, MAX achieved breakthrough success via his recent Hell's Kitchen Angel album, featuring singles "Lights Down Low" (110M+ Spotify plays) and "Gibberish (ft. Hoodie Allen)" (30M+ Spotify plays). QUIX is a burgeoning artist from New Zealand, quickly taking over the industry with his wonky take on hip hop and trap music. Ricky Remedy is a Grammy-nominated producer and musician with a career of accomplishments that includes international headline touring, a Latin Grammy nomination and collaborations with the likes of Steve Aoki, Diplo, Lil-Jon, Diddy, Rick Ross, Sonny Digital and many more. Samahta, formerly known as Gazzo, is an American producer, DJ, and songwriter best known for his radio-friendly progressive house and dance-pop songs. They join the Kolony Tour in time for the release of their first single, "Secret Weapon", the first song off their upcoming five-song EP Hollywood Smile, set for release this Spring.
