With South West Four's 15th anniversary edition on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August approaching, the organisers of London's leading electronic music festival have declared the latest batch of dance giants for the 2018 edition, with a huge cast joining the already massive billing on phase three's line-up announcement; Galantis, Basement Jaxx, Toddla T, Kungs and A-Trak all among them.
Following the last line-up announcement which saw 'A State of Trance' legend Armin van Buuren and London mixmaster DJ EZ join an already eclectic billing starring the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Craig David presents TS5, a wealth of names including Swedish EDM duo Galantis, and French producer Kungs; with the latter recently awarded the 'DJ of the Year' accolade at the 2017 NRJ Award, are revealed.
Joining masked superstar marshmello, and Detroit house legend MK on the huge Saturday line-up will also be KC Lights, Will Clarke, and Eli & Fur, as well as appearances from Hi Ibiza residents Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and Icarus Live; the Bristolian act best known for 2017 hits 'King Kong' and 'Trouble. Rounding off the phase three cast for day one shall be R3hab, and dynamic duo Detlef and Latmun, who will perform together as a London festival exclusive.
Sunday 26th August looks equally impressive, with a huge cast which includes Chase & Status (who, like the festival itself also celebrate 15 years in the game) and grime star Lethal Bizzle. Phase Three will witness the return of SW4 favourites, the iconic Basement Jaxx, with bass master Flux Pavilion also in attendance plus Defected Records queen Sam Divine. The second day of the Clapham festival will also play host to a number of special b2b performances including: Skepsis b2b Darzky, Toddla T b2b Redlight, Prototypes b2b TC, The Heatwave b2b Dre Skull & Valentino Khan b2b Party Favor with more exclusive b2b's to be announced
Amassing a huge back-catalogue of former headliners, including Faithless, Skrillex, The Chemical Brothers, deadmau5, Pendulum (Live), Rudimental, Eric Prydz and Above & Beyond, South West Four started as a backyard party in June 2001 and rapidly grew in number over the next couple of years, moving to Clapham Common in August 2004. As the festival progressed, the crowds increased, and the lineups grew bigger and stronger than ever before. In addition to the impressive list of headline acts, the festival is renowned for boasting a number of carefully curated stage hosts which include the likes of Amnesia, ANTS, Playaz and Fatboy Slim's Smile High Club, with last year witnessing the festival debuts of 'B Traits Selects' and Disciples & Danny Howard present 'The Following & Nothing Else Matters'.
With weekend passes at only £99 and selling faster than ever before; South West Four 2018 is looking like the biggest year yet. Further announcements are still to come.
