South Bend Symphony Orchestra Presents 'Matin Luther King Celebration Concert', 1/16

As part of its 79th Season, the South Bend Symphony Orchestra will presenta a concert honoring Martin Luther King.

On Monday, January 16, 2012 at 7PM the MARITN LUTHER KING CELEBRATION CONCERT: An evening of music honoring Dr. King will play at the IU South Bend north Side hall Auditorium. 

The concert will feature a Sphinx Competition winner, African American Composers, the SBO and young musicians playing Side-By-Side.

Guest Artists include Alexandra Switala (violin) the First Place Laureate of the 2011 Sphinx Competition and Ivan Griffin (baritone). The concert also features performances by Dr. Marvin V. Curtis and the South Bend Symphonic Choir, the IUSB Chorale, IUSB Gospel Choir, and the IU South Bend Chamber Choir.
