"That was an experiment: making an electronic track an organic bluegrass song," explains Slow Hands aka Ryan Cavanaugh who originally wrote the track - which is also the title of his forthcoming debut album- on a guitar before making it an electronic song, then tip-toed out of his comfort zone to do a country take on it. "We drank a lot and threw down and did it Vermont-style." The breadth of genres featured on the remix package speaks to the scope of Cavanaugh's background: a classically trained multi-instrumentalist weaned on jazz, blues, and soul who rose to notoriety as an electronica producer and DJ. He's compiled these influences into a cohesive sound that can be heard on the upcoming debut album I'll Find Me out November 6th on Wolf + Lamb. The newly revealed "I'll Find Me" remixes - which have seen support from such wide-ranging outlets asDancing Astronaut and The Bluegrass Situation - follow "Phonograph Love," the first track revealed from the album via Wall Street Journal exclusive.Photo Credit: Michael Persico
