Today, Sotheby's New York is announcing the full collection of Lady Blue Eyes: Property of Barbara and Frank Sinatra, a series of auctions this December from the estate of Barbara Sinatra that provides a rare look into the lives of the Sinatra's. The collection includes more than 200 works that Barbara and Frank assembled and lived with during their 22-year marriage, including jewelry, decorative arts, film and entertainment memorabilia, and political collectables.
The Sinatra's amassed an extensive collection of the entertainment and music memorabilia from throughout Frank's career, including scripts and screenplays associated with his iconic roles, for example From Here to Eternity, the film that earned Frank an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, Ocean's 11 and The Manchurian Candidate. Frank's personal AKG microphones used on various engagements and a poster from Frank's two-week run of shows in 1950 at The London Palladium, marking the entertainer's first concerts outside of America are amongst the highlights.
In addition, the auction includes numerous photographs, letters, signed books and artwork from the couple's close friends including John Wayne, Tony Bennett and, of course, the Rat Pack.
