Sophie Releases Music Video for 'It's Okay to Cry'

Today SOPHIE releases "It's Okay To Cry," her first solo material since PRODUCT, 2015's singles collection. The song and video flesh out unseen sides of Sophie, touched on in previous releases and diverse production works and now taking new and unexpected forms.

Sophie herself appears for the first time in the self-directed clip, revealing deeper dimensions of an ever-evolving artist who continues to explore, distort, and evolve pop culture from inside and out.

SOPHIE's work has always been intentionally conflicted yet deceptively simple. Forging new frontiers of sound design and musicality, toying with well trodden tropes, complicating pop culture's glimmer while underscoring its communicative clarity-"It's Okay To Cry" embarks further down that path, asking elusive questions and suggesting possible futures.

This song will be available for purchase and streaming across all digital platforms on October 23, 2017.

SOPHIE will premiere her newly imagined show, next Tuesday October 24th as part of the Red Bull Music Academy Festival Los Angeles at Open Beta: SOPHIE Live Debut.
