Sonya Kitchell Shares 3rd Single, New East Coast Dates Announced

Sonya Kitchell is set to release her critically acclaimed new album We Come Apart this Friday, January 22nd via Rockwood Music Hall Recordings/Thirty Tigers. In anticipation, she shares lead track "Follow Me In" highlighted by radiating guitar textures and melodic vocals that build to a roaring, emotive peak. Kitchell is also gearing up for a series of album release shows that kick off this week and will hit cities such as New York, Boston, DC + more.

Her first full-length album since 2008, We Come Apart sees Sonya stepping into the role of producer for the first time and coming into a new version of herself. Featuring powerful piano infused folk fleshed out with percussion, horns, and strings, sensuous debut single "Mexico" was dubbed Top New Track by Consequence of Sound. Second single "Hurricane" was featured on WNYC Soundcheck's weekly round-up, teasing her upcoming in-studio performance on February 2nd.

We Come Apart sees Kitchell stepping into the role of producer for the very first time. An album of powerful piano infused folk, she laid the foundation of the record with multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily and a host of notable friends including members of the The Dap Kings' Horn Section, Cellist Gyda Valtysdottir of MUM, Nate Walcott of Bright Eyes, and more.
