Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed a worldwide deal with chart-topping British singer and songwriter Becky Hill. The prolific talent has not only forged a successful recording career of her own, but has established herself as a successful songwriter, working alongside artists including Rudimental, Wilkinson, MNEK and Oliver Heldens.

Sony/ATV UK Managing Director and President, Worldwide Creative Guy Moot said: "We have admired Becky's talent for some time as an artist and writer. We are thrilled we could make a deal and finally join Becky on this journey with her and her manager Alex."

"I have always been in love with Becky's music - she is a true songwriter and her voice is unique and exceptional," said Sony/ATV Head of A&R, UK David Ventura. "We have been trying to work with her for a long time and I can say that we are all thrilled here at Sony/ATV to be part of her adventure. Her new music is fantastic with an international appeal."

Becky Hill's manager Alex Martin of AM Music/Crown Talent Group said: "Becky has an incredibly exciting career ahead of her - we have only seen a fraction of what she has to offer. David and the whole team at Sony/ATV showed incredible passion and desire to work with Becky and we are excited to work with Guy, David and the whole Sony/ATV team in taking Becky to the next stage of her career."

Becky Hill said: "I'm so happy to be a part of the Sony/ATV team. Their enthusiasm and confidence in me over the years could not be matched by anyone else. I'm glad to have a strong group of people behind me with a strong belief that I can progress and improve in the job I adore."

As a teenager in Worcestershire in the West Midlands where she grew up, Becky Hill performed with the band Shaking Trees and received support from the likes of new talent platform BBC Introducing. She then found herself in the national spotlight as a semi-finalist in the first series of TV talent show The Voice UK before featuring on Rudimental's Mercury and Brits-nominated No. 1 album Home. Not only did Hill co-write and feature on the cut "Powerless" but she went on to perform with the band during their 2013 festival appearances at Glastonbury, Bestival, Wakestock and Lovebox.

She co-wrote and was the featured vocalist on Wilkinson's 2013 UK Top 10 hit "Afterflow", while the following summer debuted at No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart with "Gecko (Overdrive)", which she penned and recorded with Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens and British artist and record producer MNEK. The single attained platinum status in the UK, became a hit overseas and helped Hill win a nomination for MTV's Brand New For 2015.

Since then she has scored further hits as both a writer and recording artist with acts including Matoma and MK. Her late 2016 single "Warm", co-written with Sony/ATV-signed Shift K3Y, was a big favourite at a number of radio stations, including BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, while Hill's new single "Rude Love" was produced by MNEK and Dimitri Tikovoi and released at the end of March. It will be followed later this year by new solo material, which she will issue independently, and a headline UK tour.
