Sony Music UK has announced today that The D-Day Darlings have won a BRIT Certified Award - the Breakthrough Award. This is in recognition for selling more than 30,000 copies of their debut album, 'I'll Remember You' which recently charted in the top 15 of the UK Official Albums Chart.
The darlings' album has made them the best-selling female group to come out of Britain's Got Talent for debut week album sales. Their album is produced by Tim Woodcock (Little Mix, John Newman, The Wanted), and includes the group's new single, Keep The Home Fires Burning.
Regarded as the UK's premier wartime act, The D-Day Darlings' album has continued the group's ethos to educate people on the lessons we can learn from history, especially in this year commemorating the 100th anniversary of Armistice. Their album campaign this year has led them to perform live on ITV's Lorraine,ITV's This Morning and Sky News.
The D-Day Darlings' debut album 'I'll Remember You', featuring their new single Keep The Home Fires Burning, is out now.
The D-Day Darlings will also be performing at London's Union Chapel on Friday 1 March 2019, with tickets on sale now.
