Sono Luminus announces the September 30, 2016 worldwide release ofOut of the Blue, the fifth album from Italian composer and multi-instrumentalist Bruno Bavota. The album features music written and performed by Bavota on piano, guitar, and live electronics, plus performances by ICE and Brooklyn Rider cellist Michael Nicolas and violinist J Freivogelof the Jasper String Quartet.

Of the new album, Bruno Bavota says, "Out of the Blue is an English language idiom that describes an event that occurs unexpectedly, without any warning or preparation. It's also a perfect way to describe my music. I always try to tell all the things that happen in my life day by day along with the emotions humankind embraces. I suggest enjoying the album with big headphones while totally lost in nature."

Bruno Bavota is a Neapolitan composer and multi-instrumentalist. His intimate and warm piano recordings express a lyrical romanticism, a familiar sound surrounding the audience. Bavota cherishes the harmonies he creates and his gentle touch forms a sound recognizable from the very first notes. His attraction to music came "only" at the age of twenty, and he says that music decided to save his life.

Bavota's music has drawn comparisons to that of Dustin O'Halloran, Nils Frahm, Ludovico Einaudi, and O?lafur Arnalds. While Bavota's work exists easily alongside these talented musicians, his is an undeniably unique voice. In 2010, he released his first self-produced LP, Il Pozzo d'Amor. In 2013 he released his second album on Lizard entitled La Casa Sulla Luna, coinciding with an album release concert at Royal Albert Hall in London. While he was performing at Iceland Airwaves in November 2013, he started recording his third album, The Secret of the Sea, which was released in 2014. Following the release of his last album Mediterraneo, he has played all over the world (Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, UK, Iceland, Latvia, Japan) with sold-out shows in Russia and the Ukraine.
