It's been a sensational year for Norway's Sløtface, who recently released their acclaimed debut album Try Not To Freak Out via Propeller Recordings/Nettwerk. After a busy summer, which saw the band's first headlining tour in Australia, a slew of European festival runs, and UK dates supporting Los Campesinos! and The Cribs, the band has brought their epic punk chops and behemoth pop exuberance back to the states for a handful of North American dates which wrap up in Philadelphia and NYC this week. All dates here or below.

Norway's Sløtface have a live-wire energy and introspection beyond their years. Try Not To Freak Out intimately covers issues - spanning from unrealistic beauty standards to adolescent dilemmas - showcasing the band's signature brooding wit. The "Nancy Drew" video continues in Sløtface's fiery feminist footsteps, reimagining the track's teen detective namesake as a badass superhero crushing the idea of the patriarchy with one punch. Watch the "Nancy Drew" video alongside an interview with The Spark Mag orHERE. We encourage you to post & share!

"We wanted to put the Nancy Drew character from the lyrics of the song into life. In the song (and video), Nancy Drew is a superhero fighting against the patriarchy and at the same time being super cool. We hope that people watching the video gets inspired by Nancy to fight for equality." shares bassist Lasse Lokøy.

Illustrator Ida Neverdahl explains, "It is difficult being a girl in our world full of weird stuff. The video is a story about the tools used to keep girls down, but also how you can use evil powers for good."

Try Not To Freak Out is nothing short of a massive rock record which received numerous accolades from the US and abroad, clocking up more than 6,000 plays across international radio, including weekly spins from Annie Mac onBBC Radio 1 and a playlist add at triple j in Australia. Additionally, Lordeoffered praise to the band, Tweeting "omg this is rad!!!" to the band's rendition of her Melodrama track "Supercut" on Triple J's 'Like A Version'. Whether it's a love song from an unexpected perspective or a critique on power and ego, the foursome's message and undeniably catchy riffs have inspired critics and fans across the globe. Be sure to catch the band's raucous performance live in a city near you!
