Sky-Pony, led by Tony nominee Lauren Worsham, at Mercury Lounge tonight, April 4.

This April, Sky-Pony will hit the stage at Mercury Lounge. The Brooklyn-based band has garnered a cult following for sets that merge rock show and theatrical event -- featuring costumes, choreography and projection art.

It's led by Lauren Worsham (Tony nominee and Drama Desk award winner for Broadway's Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder) along with her husband, Obie-winning songwriter Kyle Jarrow.

It all happens on Saturday April 4 at Mercury Lounge (217 E Houston St, NYC). Doors 7:30, showtime 8:30. Tickets are $10. More info at http://www.mercuryloungenyc.com/event/771967-sky-pony-new-york.

Sky-Pony serves up lush, lyrical, often cheeky indie-pop with a healthy dose of theatrics. Rock concert meets performance art meets burlesque, you might say. The Wall Street Journal describes them as "a 1960s girl group on crack - tight, fierce, hilarious and out of their minds." The NJ Star-Ledger calls them "magnetic" and praises their combination of "lively electro-pop melodies with synchronized girl-group dance moves." Their discography includes two EPs: Say You Love Me Like You Mean It and Raptured Live, both available on itunes. In addition to Worsham and Jarrow, Sky-Pony also features the talents of Kevin Wunderlich, Lizzie O'Hara, Kristine Piacentile, Jessi Suzuki, Perry Silver, Eric Day and David Blasher.
