In his only London festival appearance of the summer, international grime sensation Skepta will be taking to Field Day's new north London main stage for a headline show on 7 June 2019. Hailing from nearby Meridian Walk Estate, Tottenham, Skepta's performance will be a homecoming gig the likes of which London has never seen.

Topping the bill on Saturday will be R&B sensation Jorja Smith. Her critically-acclaimed debut album Lost & Found has earned her a Grammy-nomination (Best New Artist) and three BRIT nominations (British Female Solo Artist, British Breakthrough Act and Mastercard British Album of the Year) and having already collaborated with the likes of Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Khalid and Stormzy, had her Coachella debut and featured on the Black Panther soundtrack, she has confirmed her position as a global superstar.

As part of the first wave of acts, Field Day welcomes a 38 act strong selection of the UK's favourite underground electronic, indie, rap and jazz-influenced acts across the weekend. For more information please visit fielddayfestivals.com

The 2019 line-up includes standout sets across the weekend from producer, one half of Major Lazer and household name Diplo, London soulsters Jungle, hip-hop heavyweight Pusha T, cult rap hero Earl Sweatshirt, master producer Leon Vynehall, the genre-bending Deerhunter, multi-talented dreampop composer Julia Holter, and many more.

Bonobo will be curating his Outlier project within the colossal new warehouse stage, while German electronic stalwarts Modeselektor will be harking back to their roots in Berlin's illegal underground scene with a set that promises to be one of the most eclectic of the weekend.

Field Day 2019 sees its most exciting line up of up-and-coming artists in the world right now. Backed by Drake and hailed as the brilliant amalgamation of a decade of UK subgenres, BBC Sound of 2019 winner Octavian will be performing on Saturday. His 2018 mixtape Spaceman received universal acclaim and his onstage charisma will delight fans old and new. Political commentator and rap powerhouse JPEGMAFIA will also be performing on Saturday, his candid and button-pushing lyrics promising to be a talking point of the weekend.

Undisputed leftfield house music titan The Black Madonna will be taking to the decks within the enormous new warehouse stages, as will BBC Essential Mix 2018 winner HAAi and international electronic sensations George Fitzgerald (live) and Seth Troxler. New indie favourites Pip Blom and Boy Azooga are set to perform on Friday, as are Australian art rockers and Field Day favourites Methyl Ethel. There will also be performances from the likes of Denis Sulta, Erol Alkan and more across the weekend.

In a Field Day first, Printworks will be collaborating on a specially-curated stage showcasing the most exciting acts in the underground electronic scene today.

On her first-ever Field Day and festival headline performance, Jorja Smith said:

"So amazing to be playing Field Day this year. I can't wait to play my first festival headline slot. It's going to be so much fun!"

Speaking about the line-up, Field Day co-founder Tom Baker said:

"This really is a new and exciting chapter for Field Day, our new home is arguably one of the most dynamic sites in the country, with a line up that is typically eclectic and diverse as ever before. I'm thrilled about the return of Skepta who back in 2016 played to one of the biggest crowds we've ever had at Field Day, Saturday's headliner the brilliant Jorja Smith will be truly sensational, Diplo's sets are just absolute dance frenzied seamless brilliance, alongside rising artists Pip Blom, MorMor, Boy Azooga and the return of Deerhunter with an excellent new album...

Working with purpose-built indoor venues with generous sound levels and early morning curfews is what London truly deserves."

2019 marks an evolution of gigantic proportions as Field Day moves to a groundbreaking new location in North London. Situated next to Tottenham Marshes Field Day is taking over an old gas works, the new location is made up of an enormous ten-acre outdoor space with four giant, interlinked warehouses, the largest of which will be the biggest warehouse venue for music in the city (7,500 cap). The move will allow Field Day to go later than any other festival in London.

Over the past 12 years, Field Day has hosted some of the world's most iconic artists, alongside the very best in up-and-coming talent including Aphex Twin, Erykah Badu, Patti Smith, Loyle Carner, PJ Harvey and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Having resided in Victoria Park for 10 years, before moving to Brockwell Park last year, Field Day will embark on a new chapter in 2019.

Field Day are working closely with Enfield Council, who are leading a 20-year regeneration of the Meridian Water area as they aim to create a true 24-hour neighbourhood - a new destination to enjoy nightlife, music, theatre, cinema and much more, all year round.
