Virginia cool meets Kentucky thunder in a quintessential collaboration between multi-instrumentalist virtuoso Ricky Skaggs and genre-bending pianist Bruce Hornsby. Combined, the pair lay claim to an astonishing 15 Grammy awards. They first collaborated on a track for a Bill Monroe tribute album and went on to record an entire album together in 2007.
In live performance, these pioneering voices of American music showcase the power of their musical connection and their effortless penchant for breaking apart musical categorizations.

Terry Blaine has enjoyed a multi-faceted career that includes live performances, recordings, studio work, TV and radio shows, songwriting and production. Her unique interpretations of classic jazz standards have brought her international attention and recognition as one of the few contemporary female jazz singers performing the hot small-band swing material from the 1930s. Terry's collaboration with classic jazz pianist Mark Shane, which began as a three-and-a-half year duo engagement at Café Society in Greenwich Village, led to the CD "Whose Honey Are You," a Jazz Journal International Record of the Year. Mark Shane began his professional career as a pianist in dance bands in the metropolitan New York area. During an extended tenure as house pianist in New York's "
Eddie Condon's" jazz club, Mark added a distinctive new voice to the Condon tradition of hot ensemble playing and, at the same time, developed his solo jazz piano style through exposure to the masterworks of
James P. Johnson, Fats Waller, Earl Hines,
Teddy Wilson and Art Tatum. He has worked with
Benny Goodman and with many all-star alumni from the great bands of
Louis Armstrong,
Count Basie,
Duke Ellington,
Tommy Dorsey and
Glenn Miller. Mark has been featured on radio and television jazz special broadcasts and has appeared as a featured soloist at major jazz festivals throughout the world. Mark Shane's piano reflects a true sense of living jazz history and continues the tradition of buoyant swing and lyrical melodic improvisation which is classic jazz piano, America's unique musical contribution to world culture.
Acclaimed clarinetist Allan Vaché has performed with many of the top jazz performers in and around the New York area, including Bobby Hackett, Wild
Bill Davison, Vic Dickenson, Pee Wee Erwin,
Gene Krupa,
Dick Hyman,
Clark Terry, and Bob Wilber.
