Emerging singer/songwriter Joshua Gray's self-titled EP will be featured on an upcoming AOL Music Listening Party debuting March 14, just before his official release, slated for March 15. The online premiere offers new listeners to experience Gray's unique blend of pop and jazz influences by previewing the entire tracks for free through March 21.
Gray's five-track EP-- which has already earned him comparisons to singing sensation Josh Groban-- is the result of a collaboration with his younger brother Travis, a rocker and songwriter with his own studio, Echo City Recording, located in their hometown of Queensbury, N.Y.
A former theater actor and model who has graced the runways of fashion icon Christian Dior, Gray recently announced his first single, "Call Me Crazy," an upbeat, feel good track about staying optimistic in love. The music video, directed by Joseph Minasi, depicts Joshua playfully serenading a girl in his daydream against a colorful outdoor background.
Along his journey as an aspiring artist, Gray has gained a steady stream of hometown press with The Chronicle and The Post-Star. In addition, Gray has recently landed national interviews with UCLA Radio in Los Angeles, KJAG 95.9 FM in Salina, KS, Big Blend Radio and the Eastern Progress, a college newspaper in Richmond, KY.
In celebration of his EP, Gray will perform a live acoustic set during the Live at Best Buy free concert series in New York City at the Chelsea location on Saturday, March 19 at 4 p.m. After the show, Gray will meet attendees and autograph complimentary copies of his CD.
