Acclaimed singer-songwriter-producer Bazzi has proven himself to be 2018's breakthrough artist to watch as "Mine" continues to climb higher on the charts. The track, penned by Bazzi and co-produced by Bazzi and Rice N Peas, boasts over 67 million streams and this week breaks into the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 (#29 the week ending 2/16, up from #41 the week prior and debut at #56). Following incredible editorial support from Apple Music, the track hit #1 on their Pop Streaming chart (currently #15 on overall chart) and soon-after climbed to #1 on Spotify's US & Global Viral 50 charts (currently #4 on US Top 50 chart). "Mine" also received a co-sign by Taylor Swift on Spotify as the first track on her latest "Songs Taylor Loves" playlist, in addition to reaching top 50 positions on iTunes (currently #13 on overall singles chart) and Shazam (#30 on USA chart).
Hard at work in the studio, Bazzi is putting the finishing touches on his debut full-length mixtape (due later this year). A second taste of the project,"Why" (co-produced by Bazzi and Rice N Peas; stream: https://Bazzi.lnk.to/Why), was released earlier this month. Today sees the first official remix release of "Mine" by Jengi (https://Bazzi.lnk.to/MineJengiRemix) along with a new Snapchat lens featuring the original song audio, both available now worldwide.
Born to a Lebanese immigrant father and American mother in Dearborn, MI and currently based in Los Angeles, the talented tunesmith first made waves with a number of hugely popular online releases including "Beautiful" and "Alone." Bazzi was also recently announced on the lineup for this year's Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, with additional live dates to be announced soon.
