With the 2015 release of his album Jamison, ascendant jazz drummer and vocalist Jamison Ross received universal critical acclaim topped off with a Grammy nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Album. The New York Times hailed the "silk-voiced singer," while DownBeat declared the album full of "inspired drumming and bold song choices." NPR Music named the track "Deep Down In Florida" as one of their favorite songs of 2015.
"To have my debut album receive a Grammy nomination felt great," says Ross. "I didn't set out to win a Grammy, I simply wanted to express who I am as an artist in the most sincere way possible." All For One, scheduled for release on January 26, 2018 via Concord Jazz, will surely solidify his reputation as one of his generation's brightest young talents. As a winner of the 2012 Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz International Drum Competition, Ross' sophomore disc is a brilliant presentation of his wide-ranging artistry and an exciting second chapter in his spectacular artistic evolution as a singer, drummer, composer and bandleader.Videos
