Center Sound Records is excited to announce the debut EP from Raleigh, NC native Ryan K. Hamlin. The Americana/pop singer-songwriter's EP, Run, is available now at http://www.centersoundrecords.com and Amazon.com and can be downloaded from iTunes and most other online outlets.
Run is rich with driving beats and hard-hitting melodies, and is flavored with a back-road, turn-it-up sound that is reminiscent of southern comfort and muddy tires. The tracks on Run have many influences, from the homegrown flavor of Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, to the pop hooks of John Mayer, and the driving rock grooves of Augustana. Ryan says Run "...is a collection of all the things I've discovered in the past few years about life, about finding your place in a world full of critics, and holding on to the ones you love." Craig Brandwynne, who produced the set for Center Sound, says "Ryan's music is both haunting and intriguing; he has a style that will cross over many genres."
Tracks from Run have already found success in movie soundtracks, including the G Films/Uptone Pictures release "Destiny Road". Both the movie and soundtrack were released in Brazil in 2012 and will be released in North America in 2013. Beginning in May, The Honest Arts Alliance will begin a college radio and national press campaign in support of the release of Run.
