Award-winning NYC-based artist and MPress Records founder Rachael Sage has released a Deluxe Reissue of her latest album Blue Roses via MPress digitally today, May 26th (physically on August 28th). Sage celebrates a #2 Folk Radio single with the legendary Judy Collins and a new distribution deal with Independent Label Services, which is partnered with Caroline Distribution & Universal Music Group as she hits the road for a fresh round of appearances in the UK, NYC, Boston, San Francisco and more.
Sage, who is currently nominated for five Independent Music Awards and recently appeared at Stanford TEDx, has received many accolades for her 11th studio album, Blue Roses. MOJO compares Sage's work to "Billy Joel's Gotham zing and brashness...spiked with neatly twisted takes on long-relationship dilemmas". Tracks from the critically acclaimed album also appear in the current season of Lifetime TV's #1 reality show, Dance Moms. The Deluxe album features 5 new tracks including new single "Coloring Book," and new art.
For Sage, who has seen recent U.S. and UK tour dates receive engaging press coverage, including placements via Huffington Post, Time Out NY, MOJO and more, the upcoming shows reflect ongoing support of her acclaimed Blue Roses album, and her success as both a touring artist as well as an entrepreneurial label head. Sage will continue to tour behind the release throughout the summer, hitting the festival circuit both stateside and internationally. Full tour listing below or at rachaelsage.com/shows.
Rachael Sage has proven herself an idiosyncratic, compelling stage presence, able to infuse her shows with drama, humor, spontaneity, theatricality and, most of all, musical chops (via vocals, keyboard and guitar). With a diverse audience that celebrates her all- inclusive style, Sage has cultivated a lush sound that has earned her coverage in such notable outlets as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, American Songwriter, M Music and Musicians Magazine, iTunes Editorial, NY-1 TV and more. Sage's most recent album, 'Blue Roses', was released earlier this year and has earned favorable and growing coverage, including an Exclusive streaming Premiere via All Music, a Video Premiere via Yahoo Music, features in Curve Magazine, Keyboard Magazine, The Big Takeover, Examiner, rave reviews via iTunes Editorial, BLURT and more.
Sage's previous 'themed' concerts have earned a reputation internationally for deft, tongue-in-cheek irreverence, and have garnered featured placements via Irish Times, The Herald Scotland, Time Out NY, Good Day NY (FOX-TV,) Huffington Post, Gay City News, NY Daily News, New York Magazine, and more. Her burgeoning relationship with the legendary Judy Collins was featured via the Wall Street Journal Exclusive Video interview and Song Premiere - a duet of Neil Young's 'Helpless', filmed at the famed Steinway Hall in New York City, the day before its closing.
Look for Sage and her band The Sequins on tour this summer throughout the US and UK.
