Singer-Songwriter Peter Kleinhans Releases Debut Album 'Something's Not Right'

NYC-based racehorse-trainer-turned-musician Peter Kleinhans traded in his horse crop for a guitar. After a lifelong pursuit of horse training, racing and sports announcing, the New York City native has teamed up with NY Blues Hall of Famer and Producer Tony Conniff to record his debut album, Something's Not Right, which he plans to release in January 2018.

Prior to switching gears to music, Kleinhans was a die-hard fan of horse racing. As a teen, Kleinhans convinced his mother to buy his first horse for $500 and went on to be the youngest racetrack announcer at age 18. He trained a 20-horse stable for next three decades, having produced world champions such as Lavec Dream and Enough Talk. Now in his early 50s, Kleinhans continues to race but mostly as a hobby and focuses his creative energy on writing and recording songs. Working with the acclaimed producer, bassist and composer Tony Conniff, Kleinhans recorded his first album that features himself on vocals and guitar. His songs portray an empathy for "all the people being lost and forgotten in what has been a unique and disheartening millennium thus far."

The first focus track, "300,000,000 Years" is an upbeat yet sobering track about what the human race has done since the historical "Lucy" walked the earth 3 million years ago.
