Sheryl Crow Releases Instant Download of New Track 'Long Way Back'

A second instant downloadable track - "Long Way Back" - is now available to those who pre-order the digital format of Sheryl Crow's new album Be Myself from iTunes or Amazonor any format from Crow's official website as of today. Fans will also receive an instant download of the first single, "Halfway There" featuring Gary Clark Jr. on guitar. A special bundle package is available through Sheryl Crow's online store that includes the album on CD and a limited-edition lithograph. A limited run of Be Myself vinyl is also available.Watch Sheryl perform "Halfway There" and the world premiere of "Roller Skate" on NCIS: New Orleans on April 18th.
"To me, there's a little bit of sadness in the song," Crow says of the country-rock tune "Long Way Back." "Sometimes you have to go so far away from who you are to find out what you really believe in.
For Be Myself, Crow worked once again with producer, musician, and songwriter Jeff Trott, a long-time collaborator throughout her career. Trott co-wrote many of Crow's classic hits including "If It Makes You Happy" and "My Favorite Mistake." To celebrate their musical partnership, the two have teamed up to record "Sheryl Crow & Jeff Trott: The History of Us" - a track-by-track commentary of 30 songs they've worked on together throughout their careers, including "Halfway There" and "Long Way Back," as well as songs from Sheryl Crow, The Globe Sessions, C'mon C'mon, Wildflower, Detours, and Feels Like Home. An American music icon, Crow has released eight studio albums, which have sold 35 million copies worldwide. Seven of them charted in the Top 10 and five were certified for multi-platinum sales. In addition to such No. 1 hits as "All I Wanna Do," "Soak Up the Sun," and "The First Cut Is the Deepest," Crow has notched 40 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, Adult Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Mainstream Top 40 and Hot Country Songs charts, with more No. 1 singles in the Triple A listings than any other female artist.
