Today, Los Angeles artist Saro has released the beautifully shot official video for recent EP single"Looking." The track premiered with OUT Magazine today - see the feature HERE.
Of the visual, Saro tells OUT, "I wrote 'Looking' as a letter to myself from the perspective of a past lover. The final words exchanged were 'I hope you find what you're looking for.' Equal parts hopeful and hopeless, genuine and bitter. I have yet to find anything."The video follows on the heels of another goreous visual released earlier this year for EP track"Flora," which premiered with C-Heads Magazine alongside an exclusive photo shoot directed and shot by Saro himself. See the feature HERE.
"Looking" and "Flora" are taken from Saro's debut EP titled In Loving Memory, which was released last December via Saro's own Mateo Sound label. The Robin Hannibal executive produced EP is a deeply cathartic work exploring various stages of mourning and represents Saro's first proper body of music. The EP saw widespread critical acclaim from the likes of Stereogum, NYLON, Impose, and Pigeons and Planes, who lauded its, "polished production, sweet melodies, and hooks fit for anthems."Fri, Mar 17, (10PM) // Austin, TX @ Main II (Ditto Music Showcase) (SXSW)
