Sarah Jaffe is extremely excited to announce a fall US tour with alternative hip-hop artist Astronautalis. The tour kicks off at Chicago's Lincoln Hall on September 5th and the month long trek has the two hitting NYC, Nashville, DC, Philly, St. Louis, Boston and more along the way. They will visit mostly East Coast and Midwest cities while Jaffe's July run with The Polyphonic Spree hits the West Coast and South. In addition, just last week Jaffe announced a hometown headlining show at Dallas' historic Majestic Theatre on August 23rd. This will be Jaffe's biggest local show to date and will be a thrilling way to celebrate the August 19th Kirtland Records release of her new full-length studio album Don't Disconnect.

Don't Disconnect is her third full-length album and the first Jaffe recorded with Midlake's McKenzie Smith. It's also is her most atmospheric and electronic release yet, continuing her evolution away from her more folky and acoustic beginnings. Fans got their first sense of what to expect when SPIN premiered "Defense" last summer, calling it a "Smoky, Atmospheric Rocker." It was the first song that Jaffe recorded with Smith and was followed in July by "Satire" which USA Today premiered and noted the "...pensive and laid-back vibe." The two loved working together so much, they set out to record an entire album in the winter that followed in Smith's Redwood Studios in Denton, TX. "Satire" and "Defense" are both included in the final 12 tracks featured on Don't Disconnect and the sessions also produced other noteworthy tracks like the hauntingly beautiful first single "Lover Girl," the dreamy electro tinged "Your Return" and the incredibly catchy synth-pop tune "Some People Will Tell You."

Jaffe is excited to be bringing all these new songs to life for the first time this week on The Polyphonic Spree tour. It will give Jaffe a chance to road test the new songs with her band before her Dallas headlining show on August 23rd at the Majestic Theatre. She's especially excited to be venturing out with Andy Bothwell aka Astronautalis in September as she has been a fan of his for quite some time. When asked about touring with Astronautalis Jaffe said, "I first met Andy when we were grouped together for a Denton event called Rock Lottery. That was about 8 years ago. We were friends immediately. I was a fan of him personally instantly. Then I saw him perform live and realized he was a genius... He's the coolest." Both artists are master storytellers and both have managed to successfully break out of the genres that folks often classify them into. Confirmed tour dates below.
