Of the video, Cavazza describes, "Recording the video for So Much Better was the most honest and crazy creative experience of my life! I spent 24 hours filming in a row and the post-production by Robinovich is just amazing. The team has done such an great job realizing my vision of the video for this song."
"So Much Better" is taken from Sandro Cavazza's self-titled debut EP, available everywhere now
HERE. The EP represents a body of work that delves deep into personal experiences portrayed through a universal lens while compromising no authenticity. As he puts it, "I really look up to artists who do what they want to do, who have a lot of integrity. Where you feel the decisions are made not around the dollar signs but by what they actually want to do."
New single "So Much Better" showcases Cavazza's raw, undeniably powerful voice; this time, Cavazza's roaring vocal is seamlessly fused with a minimal tropical house beat. Having started the song with a simple and thematically broad top line, Cavazza progressed the track into an honest piece of music, confessing, "I re-wrote the song so that it would fit me personally." The track also saw a rework with past co-writer and musical comrade Lost Frequencies. The Belgian producer, whose 2014/15 smash hits
"Are You With Me" and
"Reality" topped dance charts around the globe, found a sweet spot melding the original melodic moments with a fresh new electronic gloss that breathes new life into the already-captivating single. Stream Sandro Cavazza x

"So Much Better" follows his last single release, "Don't Hold Me," a track that marches forward with brooding elegance finding solace in its deeply personal confessional. Cavazza regards "Don't Hold Me" as a track about "a relationship that's not great for you and you need to let go," which lent itself naturally to last month's release of the emotive live session and acoustic version of the track. "Don't Hold Me" followed debut track, "What It Feels Like," a striking song mixing subtle electronics with lush string flourishes and cradled by Cavazza's gorgeous longing vocal. The self-titled EP is rounded out by track "What Kind Of Man," a gospel-inspired, soaring ode exploring Cavazza's take on what it means to be a man in the present day.
Sandro is no newcomer to songwriting and has been honing his chops since childhood. He has written alongside notable artists such as Avicii as a co-writer and lead vocalist on "Sunset Jesus" and "Gonna Love Ya" from the
Stories album, as well as Lost Frequencies' "Beautiful Life." He's since found a stride in honest, straightforward pop music anchored by a voice that is emotive in its most undeniable form. "The songs are all connected by honesty," he proclaims.
That said, the road to his debut EP certainly hasn't been without its forks. He spent a short-lived stint at
Stockholm music academy Rytmus (boasting alumni such as
Icona Pop and Tove Lo), took an extendedcharity trip to Brazil, and traversed the U.S. on a writing tour setting up pop-up recording studios at National Parks throughout the country together with Avicii. It was these experiences, however fragmented, that solidified his belief that music was his only path.
Sandro made his live debut this year at 'Where's The Music' in Norrköping, Sweden and will continue to add dates as the year progresses.
