Sam Huber, a 25 year veteran of the Finnish funk scene, and multi-hyphenate producer-musician-label exec Tomás Doncker are proud to present a fusion of pop, funk and R&B with additional influences from both sides of the Atlantic that they call "global soul" for Huber's newest album on True Groove Records, Top of the World, out in late September on all streaming services in the United States.
It's been a busy Summer of Sam: a packed acoustic gig at The Bitter End, a recent European tour with his backing band The True Groove All-Stars, and now the culmination of the past year's work: the upcoming international release of his sophomore solo album. To celebrate, you can watch the live video for Huber's newest single, the groovy, upbeat ballad "Plastic Love".
Brooklyn-raised Tomás Doncker, the label CEO for True Groove Records, says that "Sam is the very personification of global soul. He is music unfettered by boundaries of genre or divisions of nation, color or culture. Sam is working in the true tradition of rhythm and blues."
Sam Huber is represented abroad by Live Nation Finland and has garnered support by the Finnish Consulate and the Finnish Cultural Institute of New York City in the United States.
