Fast-rising London based four-piece STIIR have shared the video for their debut single 'Free Yourself'. WATCH HERE
Encapsulating the band's effortless energy in a haze of smoky vibrancy, the video sees the band perform in a sultry club to an exuberant and sensual audience.
Featuring glistening melodies and incurably infectious vocals, the track is a musing on the"inevitable expiration of a relationship". Exploring themes of self-reflection and individuality, the lyrical introspection is accompanied by funk-infused guitars and upbeat rhythms that combine to create an unquestionably feel-good anthem.
Released at the end of last month 'Free Yourself' has been met with a great reactions from fans, press and radio alike. The single has quickly generated strong Radio 1 support, with Jack Saunders a particularly big fan of the band at the station, who featured the track as the very first ever 'Midnight Drop' on the Radio 1 Indie Show.
'Free Yourself' is just the first taste of things to come from the exciting newcomers, who bring a refreshing style and deliciously irresistible sound to the scene. They'll be making their live debut at London's Nambucca on October 13th for This Feeling's 12th Birthday Bash. Tickets are available here.
Blending jazz and soul influences with intoxicating pop song writing, and with influences as varied as The Beach Boys, Al Green and Steve Lacy, the North Londoners are a truly exciting new presence.
