Washington DC-based global stars SOJA have released the new single 'Bad News' today at all digital music services. The song is the band's first new single since their GRAMMY-nominated album 'Amid The Noise And Haste' in 2014. It is a timely response to the current political and social climate.
SOJA will launch an extensive national amphitheater tour with
Dirty Heads on June 9th with more than 35 dates across the country. All upcoming dates are listed below.
"There are a lot of horrible things going on in the world today," lead singer and songwriter Jacob Hemphill says. "There are also a lot of great things happening but media puts the negative on blast in order to get higher ratings" adds vocalist Trevor Young. "From CNN to Fox - they're all guilty. 'Bad News' is about saying 'yes, things are messed up. We've established that. Now turn off the TV and get off the couch because it's time to do something. It's time to reconnect with humanity and find solutions to our problems... together." Bob Marley said, 'to divide and rule could only tear us apart.' No one knows that better than our world leaders. It's time to stand up and let our voices be heard. 'Soon we'll find out who are the real revolutionaries.'"
The song "Bad News" previews SOJA's new studio album which will be released later this year.
SOJA was originally formed by a group of friends while still in middle school and has since built a massive, dedicated global fan base. In the years following, the band has headlined shows in over 25 countries around the world, generated 4.5 million Facebook fans and 300+ million YouTube views. They have attracted an international fan base along the way, with caravans of diehards following them from city to city.
