SKATERS to Join Portugal. the Man on Tour This June

NYC rockers SKATERSwill join Warner Music Group label-mates Portugal. The Man as support for a string of U.S. tour dates in June, all of which are listed below. The band recently performed a series of live dates on the East Coast and will hit the road in May for an extensive U.K. tour, where they have amassed a loyal following.

SKATERS have just released their WBR 7" single debut "I Wanna Dance" (But I Don't Know How)"b/w "Armed." In addition, a brand-new video for the track "Armed" recently premiered on Vice/Noisey.com . View it here.

Michael Ian Cummings and Noah Rubin formed SKATERS in 2012, and spent a year trading demos between Los Angeles and London with guitarist Joshua Hubbard. The three met up in NYC's Chinatown to create their own art zine, YONKS, (expect future issues soon) and record their debut EP, Schemers, which was given away for free on the band's website and drew immediate critical praise.

SKATERS are currently putting the finishing touches on their full-length album with producer John Hill (Santigold, M.I.A., Wavves). More details to be announced soon. In the meantime, feel free to download "I Wanna Dance" (But I Don't Know How)" b/w "Armed."
