Show of Hands will celebrate two decades on the road when they step on stage for the fourth time at the Royal Albert Hall on Easter Saturday (April 7). The award-winning acoustic pairing of singer songwriter Steve Knightley and Phil Beer have already played to sell-out crowds at the Royal Albert Hall three times, played festivals from Glastonbury to Cambridge and WOMAD and taken them around the world from Canada to Germany, India, Australia and back to their home county of Devon.
More than 3,000 tickets have already been sold for the Royal Albert Hall “big gig”. Top price tickets are now sold out but some seats are still available in the stalls, arena, rear circle and the choir.
Tickets, price £25-£30 (booking fees apply) can be booked online at www.royalalberthall.com or on 0845 401 5034.
The gig will start at 8pm and Steve and Phil will be joined by guest musicians spearheaded by Miranda Sykes, the stand-out double bass player and vocalist who has so brilliantly enriched the Show of Hands sound since 2004.
Show of Hands have previously appeared at the Royal Albert Hall in 1996, 2001 and 2007. Knightley and Beer actually come from rock backgrounds and have both guested on Rolling Stones albums.
The Devon duo’s London appearances are few and far between, but in 2011 they performed at both Canary Wharf and Hyde Park.
