SAE Institute Miami Presents 'Girls In Music' Educational Seminar Series

SAE Institute, one of America's premier providers of creative media education, has been hosting a series of free, weekly education seminars entitled "Girls In Music" at its Miami campus, featuring panel discussions with leading female entertainment executives. "Girls In Music" is promoted and produced by Hype Girls LLC, an organization that celebrates and supports women in the entertainment industry.

"The response to 'Girls In Music' has been nothing short of amazing," says SAE Institute Miami Campus Director Marcella Holness. "Women executives from Universal Music Group, Live Nation, Grammy U, Recording Academy, Doolkadir Law, and many more top tier companies have participated since the series debuted on July 12. It's given aspiring music business professionals and our Audio Technology Program students incredible opportunities to learn, participate, and network."

Topics that have been covered so far in the "Girls In Music" series include introductions to music publishing, copyrights, trademarks, music journalism, and social media. Upcoming guest presenters and topics include:

  • July 26 - Angie Martinez (Attorney, AMP Law; Owner, AMP Management; Executive Producer, Meccalani/Universal Music Latin Entertainment)

Topics: Touring, live show management, concert booking, event promotion, labels, agent/management contracts, licensing, royalties, and collection.

  • August 9 - Nikki Siixx & JoJo Fabs (Miami New Times Best Music Blog nominees) and Kassandra & Melissa (Womazing)

Topics: Content creation, media submission, event promotion, and creating viral content.

  • August 16 - Isabella Acker (Marketing Director, Live Nation Florida and Co-Founder, Black Key Group)

"Girls In Music" takes place on Saturdays through September 6 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Miami campus of SAE Institute, 16051 West Dixie Hwy, #200 in North Miami Beach.
