Roni Size Announces Live US Tour & DJ Dates to Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of 'New Forms'

UK drum n' bass pioneer Roni Size is thrilled for his return to the US this winter to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his Mercury Music Prize-winning seminal album New Forms. News of the US live tour follows on the heels of his highly successful solo DJ tour this summer, which saw him headline Moma PS1's Warm Up in NYC, and last month's announcement that the groundbreaking Roni Size & Reprazent album was being re-issued as a deluxe edition via Mercury Records and Universal Music Group. The December run will see Roni Size performing tracks from New Forms in the US for the first time in nearly a decade via a new live instrument and hardware show, which includes stops at Output in NYC and Day for Night Festival in Houston, TX. Size will also be performing a special New Forms anniversary DJ set at Project LA in Los Angeles and other select cities throughout the tour.

The 20th anniversary deluxe re-issue of New Forms features over 50 tracks, including the 2017 remaster of the original album, unreleased and rare remixes from Grooverider, Source Direct, Krust, unreleased originals, live and updated 2017 versions, and much more. Since its 1997 release, New Forms has been held in extremely high regard, being heralded as a trailblazer for the genre, with the BBC saying the LP "carved a mainstream niche for drum and bass like no album before it." Size's work on iconic tracks such as "Heroes," and "Brown Paper Bag" helped bring the underground movement to the masses and pushed New Forms to being one of the best-selling drum n' bass albums the world has ever seen; catapulting Size to the top of the Electronica scene as one of the most well-respected DJs, Producers, and label owners. Just this year, The New York Times celebrated Size for being in the "vanguard of the fast, funky club genre," while New York Magazine dubbed him a "legend."

Roni Size will be performing live in the US this December, along with a handful of special New Forms 20th anniversary solo DJ sets, details of which can be found below.
