Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers proudly announce their newest release and seventh studio album, The Independent, will be available on April 29. Pre-orders will be available via the band's official website, www.azpeacemakers.com, on March 26. The band will celebrate The Independent with a special album release party at the Scottsdale, Arizona Talking Stick Resort's brand new outdoor poolside concert stage on Friday, May 2.

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers have been musical beacons of the Southwest for the past fifteen years with more than a dozen studio and live albums all released independently and many reaching the top ten of Billboard's Internet Sales Chart. Known for their vivid lyrics, addictive guitar riffs, and full-bodied rhythm section, RCPM's The Independent raises a metaphorical glass to the road less traveled and champions the courageous.

The album features guitarist Jim Dalton, bassist Nick Scropos, drummer P.H. Naffah, and Roger Clyne on vocals and rhythm guitar. It was recorded in Naffah's own Somos Studios, which found the drummer in the double role of producer. Clyne and Naffah originally began playing together in the celebrated 90's alt-rock band The Refreshments, known for such hits as "Banditos," "Down Together" and the theme song for Fox TV's "King of the Hill."

The title track off The Independent is a representation of the group's Southwest influences, delivering an instrumental collaboration that evokes desperado imagery and draws inspiration from old west musical greats. "The Independent is a double entendre," says Clyne. "It represents the solo sojourner, but it also frames the idea of moving forward as a collective group in the name of independence."

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers album release party at Talking Stick Resort on May 2 will offer fans a first chance to hear tracks off The Independent live, as well as taste Clyne's ultra-premium Mexican Moonshine Tequila. The album release show will be followed by a U.S. tour and special performances at Clyne's own independently produced Circus Mexicus Festival, presented by Mexican Moonshine Tequila, in Rocky Point Mexico June 5-8.
