Twenty7 kicks off its first US tour, starting in New York today, December 1 and ending in Oakland on December 8, with popular pop-rock band Gripin from Turkey. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross to support victims impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
Twenty7 is a band based in Los Angeles that incorporates rock, funk, and ethnic music influences into a unique music style, taking on characteristics of East meets West, the old world meeting the new. It was nominated a top 100 unsigned act in the United States by respected trade publication MUSIC CONNECTION and described as “a world-class act that takes listeners on a journey with distinct peaks and valleys.” Now, the band is teaming up with Gripin, a band based in Istanbul, Turkey, that has performed over 200 concerts in its home country and across Europe during the last 2 years with internationally-known acts such as Cake, Evanescence, and Franz Ferdinand.
