Rob Tanchum Releases Comedic Rap Album DISTURBED, DEPRESSED, INADEQUATE Image

New York-based rapper and comedian Rob Tanchum's full-length album Disturbed, Depressed, Inadequate is now available both digitally on Soundcloud, iTunes, Spotify, TIDAL, etc. and on cassette tape by SBI Press' 'Tape of the Month' club, which contains 35 minutes of bonus material including outtakes and a 10 minute improv scene.

Disturbed, Depressed, Inadequate is a comedic concept rap album about Rob Tanchum, a depressed loser from Earth, who is abducted by alien scientists (Dan Harmon and Jeff Davis) who probe his unconscious mind and extract a concept album of self-loathing, id-driven rap songs. Featured artists include Dan Harmon, Jeff Davis, Iman Europe, Sinsay, and Kaleigh Young. The album was written by Rob Tanchum, with music composed and produced by Superfool (Kevin Hall & Shawheen Keyani). The title of the album comes from one of George Constanza's outbursts on Seinfeld, after he is coldly rejected by yet another date.

Rob Tanchum is a Harmontown fan favorite and as a result, was given the opportunity to make a record for Starburns Audio's newest venture: SBI Press, as well as collaborate with Dan Harmon on a few songs for the album. The single "IDFSG (I Don't Feel So Good)" was soft-released in June 2018 and has already created buzz in the Harmontown universe and beyond.

Rob is a comedian/rapper/writer living in an apartment. His album Disturbed, Depressed, Inadequate will be released on November 14th by Starburns Industries. He graduated from NYU with a BA in Film & TV Production, despite spending most of his collegiate energy writing and performing sketch comedy as a member and director of HammerkatzNYU. More recently Rob was a writer for the UCB house sketch team Nipsey and cowrote and performed in BEENG BOONG: The Great & Powerful MTA, which ran at the UCB for 6 months. His other work can be seen at comedy theaters around NYC and on his laptop in various folders. Recent directing credits include UCB Maude Night teams Choir and Archnemesis, as well as Chloe Koser's one woman show Chloe Doesn't Do Boys! Rob is represented by Tovah Silbermann at Mosaic.
