Grammy-nominated producers Ricky Remedy and Sonny Digital collaborate on "Did It," the first single from Ricky's forthcoming Dim Mak mixtape. Ricky's sparse bass-driven production leaves an open lane for Sonny to flex his mic skills, yielding a fire collaboration from two of hip hop's rising trailblazers.
Known for his masterful precision of 808s, Ricky 'Remedy' Duran was brought up on sounds rooted in his Cuban heritage, along with a wide range of musical genres. Since breaking out into the music scene, Ricky has worked alongside some of the industry's biggest names, including Steve Aoki, Lil Wayne, Diplo, Tory Lanez, Skrillex, and others. Some of Remedy's boundary-pushing records landed on Diplo's label Mad Decent, including his first two EPs, Control and Reflex. Most recently, he worked with Steve Aoki on "Thank You Very Much (feat. Sonny Digital)" from Aoki's Kolony album and Bok Nero on the Dim Mak single "Pain (Soul Eater)." Ricky's music has also been featured in Apple's "Shot on iPhone" campaign, the movie 22 Jump Street, Need for Speed & UFC video games, and more. Amidst studio work, Ricky has recently supported Steve Aoki on the Kolony tour, Party Thieves on select US dates, and he's scheduled to play at Dim Mak Neighborhood in Brooklyn this upcoming June. The release of "Did It" will officially kick off the rollout of Ricky's forthcoming hip hop focused mixtape, which will couple Ricky's crisp productions with guest MC's and vocalists.Videos
